A Bit Of Interesting Graaff-Reinet History
Here is a bit of interesting Graaff-Reinet history for you. The town’s history dates back to around the end of the 17th century, when the town was founded by the Cape Colony’s rulers, which at the time was the Dutch East India Company. The town has seen a number of changes in government since then and even played a big part in the military operations of the British, during the Anglo-Boer war.
Some of the Graaff-Reinet history is captured in the museums in and around Graaff-Reinet, which makes Graaff-Reinet definitely well worth a visit. One of the best ways to experience the splendour of the town is to stay at KarooRus. This charming, restored house, offers six lovely self-catering units.
