A Bit Of Interesting Graaff-Reinet History

Here is a bit of interesting Graaff-Reinet history for you. The town’s history dates back to around the end of the 17^th century, when the town was founded by the Cape Colony’s rulers, which at the time was the Dutch East India Company. The town has seen a number of changes in government since then and even played a big part in the military operations of the British, during the Anglo-Boer war.

Some of the Graaff-Reinet history is captured in the museums in and around Graaff-Reinet, which makes Graaff-Reinet definitely well worth a visit.
